A sport utility vehicle burned Thursday afternoon while parked next to the former Stone & Irish auto body shop on Route 121 in Minot. No one was hurt. Police and fire crews were alerted to the blaze at about 12:20 p.m. One man reported he heard an explosion from nearly half mile away before the truck went up in flames. The fire is being investigated by Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bryan Smith, who was not available Thursday.
