AUBURN — Bessie M. Dan, 80, formerly of 46 Valley St., Auburn, died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 5, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility.

She was born in Temple, on June 5, 1930, the daughter of George and Eva (Davis) Goldsmith and had been a resident of the Auburn area for most of her life.

She was educated in Strong schools.

She was known to be a very neat and organized person. Everything in her home had to be in order.

Bessie enjoyed yard sales, crocheting, knitting and scrapbooking before it was popular, her Cadillac convertible and loved Christmas and family parties.

She is survived by her husband, Conrad B. Dan, whom she married on June 12, 1948 in Norway and who resides in Auburn; two sons, Ronald E. Dan of Gray and Larry E. Dan and his wife, Karen, of Sumner; three grandchildren, Cindy S. Dan of Minot, Jessica Dussault and her husband, Greg, of Sumner and Brent Dan and his wife, Kristy, of Sumner; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Paul; and by her sister, Pauline Goldsmith.
