The Maine DeMolay Association held its honors and awards ceremony at the Newport Masonic Lodge on Nov. 6. Four members of the association were honored by receiving the Degree of Chevalier. The recipients were, from left, Samuel Goldsberry, Stephen Farrington and Andrew Cotterly, all of the Knights of the Sun Chapter in Auburn, and Jeremy Harmon of the Valley Chapter in Buxton. The recipients received a gold cord and medallion during their investiture, recognizing them as members of the Court of Chevalier. The Degree of Chevalier is the highest honor for distinguished DeMolay service that can be awarded to a member of the Order. Approximately one percent of all members in the Order receive the recognition.
