BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Arts Council was awarded a grant for $3,300 from the New England Foundation for the Arts through the New England States Touring Program to present the modern dance troupe Adele Myers and Dancers in January of 2011.
The Mahoosuc Arts Council, which has been supporting the advancement of the arts and humanities of the adult communities and school systems of the Greater Bethel Area since 1986, will host Adele Myers and Dancers’ innovative multi-media work as part of the 2010-2011 Gould Performing Arts Series, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Bingham Auditorium on the Gould Academy campus.
The troupe will also perform Friday, Jan. 5, for the Telstar Regional Middle and High schools and for area home-schooled and district charter school students.
The grant will go towards covering part of the artist fees to produce the performances, which are also supported in part by grants from Gould Academy and SAD 44.
