FARMINGTON — Registration for the University of Maine at Farmington 2010 winter term courses is now open to members of the general public not currently enrolled in a UMF program. The winter term runs from Dec. 27, 2010 to Jan. 14, 2011, and offers classroom and web-based courses in a variety of disciplines.

To find complete course listings online, go to www.umf.maine.edu and click on “Not a student?” in the lower right-hand corner. Select the “Take One Course” option, click on the “Winter 2010” tab and select a subject to see the courses offered.

Members of the public can communicate their interest in any courses online by adding them to the online book bag. They will then be contacted by a representative from the UMF Merrill Center.

Individuals may also register in person from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the Merrill Center in UMF’s Merrill Hall, 224 Main St. Course registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
