AUBURN — Blanche T. Bechard, 84, of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston, died Monday, Nov. 22, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, following a long battle with diabetes.
She was born in Augusta, Feb. 2, 1926, the daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Landry) Bechard. She married Roger F. Bechard on July 2, 1946, and he died on Dec. 27, 1998.
While in Augusta, she was employed at the Continental Mill and then moved to Lewiston and was employed in area shoe shops. She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul Parish.
Blanche is survived by five sons, Armand Bechard and his wife, Sue, Clement Bechard and his wife, Sandy, Reginald Bechard and his wife, Lisanne and Michael Bechard, all of Lewiston and Ronald Bechard of Auburn; one daughter, Lisa Ann Chouinard and her husband, Michael, of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother, Henry Bechard; and a sister, Magnolia Michaud.
