DIXFIELD — The following incidents were handled by the Dixfield Police Department.

Accident

* Robert Charity, 35, of Carthage, apparently hit a soft shoulder with his car at 11:50 a.m. Nov. 20 as he drove south on Route 142. He over-corrected and hit a utility pole. The pole was broken in half and knocked out power in the area briefly. Charity’s 2000 Ford pickup truck had $4,000 damage. Neither Charity nor his 11-year-old son were injured.

Theft

* The owner of Dixfield Auto Salvage reported in mid-November that someone had entered his Canton Point Road yard and stole at least one valid inspection sticker. Sgt. Jeff Howe believes the inspection sticker theft may be related to similar incidents in Mexico and Jay.
