LEWISTON — Colleen A. Brown, 72, of Greene, passed away peacefully on Nov. 24, at Central Maine Medical Center, with her family by her side, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born in Mexico on Feb. 13, 1938, the daughter of Murray and Bernice (Soubble) Bartlett, and she was a graduate of Mexico High School.
She was the widow of Robert A. Brown, whom she married on Nov. 23, 1957. He passed away on March 23, 2007. She was employed for numerous years at Central Maine Medical Center as a switchboard operator.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Brown Murphy, and husband, Phillip, of Greene; her son, Robert Brown and wife, Eva, of Worcester, Mass.; her grandchildren, Meghan Murphy, Katie Brown and Phillip G. Murphy Jr.; her sisters, Sandra Bartlett Delisle and husband, William, and Maureen Arsenault; her brother, Johnny Bartlett; and by her sister-in-law, Sheila L. Bartlett.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her brother, Donald Bartlett.
