AUBURN — A visual trip around Iceland will be presented Monday, Dec. 6, at the monthly meeting of the Stanton Bird Club. The presentation will be by Marie Jordan, birder and naturalist, who will share her digital photography and memories of a trip to Iceland.
Jordan, a York resident and retired teacher, is also an active member of York County Audubon and has just completed a term as its president.
Located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Iceland’s landscape is defined by its volcanic and geologic activity and its glaciers. Jordan will present a visual trip around the volcanic island with an emphasis on its natural wonders and birds.
The Stanton meeting and Jordan’s presentation will take place at 6 p.m. at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St. The meeting is open to the public.
