FARMINGTON — Twiggy, an Akita/Collie mix, is waiting for a home at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

She is a younger girl with a real zest for life. Staff said she knows some basic commands like sit and lay down. She needs some help learning how to walk a little slower on the leash.

Staff said she went home with a wonderful family for a little while, but proved to be a little too fast to keep up with. She would do best in an active home with a master to play with. She needs to be in a home without cats.

New dogs at the shelter include a black lab from Industry.
