Seniors party

LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Seniors meeting was canceled on Dec. 6, but members are reminded that the Christmas party scheduled for noon Monday, Dec. 13, will be held as planned. Members should bring a gift for the rip-off game. 

Christmas music will be performed by Wilfred Laplante and his group and a meal will be served by Nancy Couture. 

Autism support

FARMINGTON — Franklin Health Child and Adolescent Developmental Pediatrics has started an autism support group for parents and caregivers of children with autism. The group is facilitated by Tami Labul, the parent of a child with autism.

Meetings take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the Foster Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. For more information, contact Developmental Pediatrics at 779-2168.

No supper

FARMINGTON — Trinity United Methodist Church will not have a monthly supper during December. The next meal will be in January.

Christmas dinner

LIVERMORE FALLS — The annual free community Christmas dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Christmas, Saturday, Dec. 25, at the American Legion Post hall, Reynolds Avenue. Everyone is welcome.

The Legion needs community support to provide the dinner and is looking for volunteers who would like to cook or make a donation. The Legion is most in need of bakers willing to cook about 15 pies and16 batches of cookies. Members also need turkeys, hams, potatoes, squash, stuffing and gravy mixes, cranberry jelly, and nine to  12 dozen rolls.

Those who would like to cook, make a donation or work at the dinner should call Pam Newton at 897-3072.

Those who wish to attend should call Karen Mitchell at 897-3593 and leave a name and how many will be attending to help in meal planning. There will be meal delivery available in the local area.

This dinner is supported by the Tri-Town Ministers and excess donations will be given to the food bank.
