LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Maurice Camire was celebrated by the Rev. Nathan March Monday at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish. At the beginning of Mass, Maurices’s two grandson’s, Logan and Ryan Rossignol draped their grandfather’s casket with the white burial pall that signifies Maurice’s birth to a new life with God. The first reading was presented by Maurice’s son, Rodney Camire. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Maurice’s daughter, Carol Rossignol and her companion, Tom Pratt. After a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Father March recited committal prayers. Upon conclusion of prayers, the U.S. Army Honor Detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Maurice’s wife, Jacqueline for services rendered by her husband to his country during the Vietnam Conflict. All in attendance were then invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
