LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors held the annual Christmas party on Dec. 13 at Murray Hall with 37 members present.
Nancy Couture and staff served a buffet at noon. Following the meal, Wilfred Laplante and his group played holiday music. Santa Claus dropped in with gifts for all in attendance.
Following the meal, a special holiday card and gift were given to Chairwoman Shirley Couture and her husband, Aurelien, for their volunteer work for the group.
Couture received a thank-you letter from the Veterans Affairs Office for the donation the seniors made to the veterans hospital for coffee supplies.
Couture told members that LaFleur’s in Jay is now accepting the SeniorsPlus certificates for meals. Those celebrating birthdays this month were remembered.
There will be no meeting next week. The group will next meet on Monday, Jan. 3. The 50/50 was won by Pat Couture.
Door prizes donated by Diane Getz, Nancy Couture, Marilyn DeSoto and Alice DeMoras were won by Cindy Hebert, Shirley Toncer, Carmen Moreau, Georgia Hersey and Joyce Richard. The party concluded with the members playing the Rip-Off Game.
