DIXFIELD — The following incidents were handled recently by the Dixfield Police Department.
Accidents
Donna Pare, 51, Keep Road, Jay, struck a dog as she was driving her 2002 Saturn east on Route 2 at 5:49 p.m., Dec. 2. Her vehicle sustained $3,000 damage.
Tammy Ranger, 38, of the Common Road, Dixfield, slid off the south end of the Common Road at 8:15 a.m., Dec. 4, causing $3,000 damage to her Dodge sports utility vehicle.
Warren Chase, 63, of Timberland Lane, Dixfield, failed to negotiate a curve at 8 a.m., Dec. 14, as he was driving his 2006 Ford pickup truck east on Route 2. The vehicle went into a skid, spun around, and came to rest on its side. The pickup sustained $3,000 damage.
Thefts
A visitor to a Common Road residence reported at 3:45 p.m., Nov. 25, the theft of $300 from her purse. Police have no leads.
The owner of a vehicle parked at Brackett Street reported at 8:45 a.m., Nov. 29, that someone had stolen an iPod and an unknown number of CDs valued at about $150 from her vehicle sometime the night before. Police have no leads.
Vandalism
The property manager for the former Roy House on Route 142 reported at 1 p.m., Nov. 29, that someone had kicked in the back door of the building, then entered the property. Nothing appears missing.
An Arsenault Drive resident reported at 9:17 a.m., Dec. 10, that someone had damaged the front of her vehicle when it was parked in the apartment complex’s parking lot causing about $250 damage.
