WOODSTOCK — John Thomas Speed, 67, of Woodstock, passed away at his home on Monday, Dec. 13.
He was born in Boston, Jan. 12, 1943, the son of John J. and Lillian (O’Donnel) Speed. He was a shift supervisor in the purchasing department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of St. Athanasius Church in Rumford, attended St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Norway and was a volunteer at the Oxford Food Pantry.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Speed and Kellie Biggins and her husband, William; sisters, Joan Pedersen and Mary Gillis; brother, Tom Speed; and several nieces and nephews.
