Blue Christmas

BETHEL — A Blue Christmas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at West Parish Congregational Church, Church Street. All are welcome to gather at the ecumenical service to acknowledge their “Christmas Blues,” the reasons for them and offer them to God at the service.

Carol Stevens and Virginia Rickeman will lead the service. Those who wish to support someone feeling “blue” at this season are also welcome.

School concert

RUMFORD — The Mountain Valley High School Christmas concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, in the school’s Muskie Auditorium. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

RUMFORD — The weekly storytime at Rumford Public Library will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22. All ages are welcome. Mrs. Claus will read stories and listen to Christmas requests.

Coffee house

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will hold a Coffee House from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, in the annex on High Street. It will feature comedy, singers and a play, “Christmas Gift,” written by Nancy Demings. There will also be a sing-along.

Adults will be $5 at the door; children under 12 accompanied by an adult will be free. Homemade desserts, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soda will be on sale.

Early supper

DIXFIELD — All are invited to share a free early supper on Monday, Dec. 27, at the Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship Hall, 1 Blyne St. Adventist Community Services will sponsor the dinner.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and the dinner will be from 4 from 5:30 p.m. Those who need a ride should call Tim at 562-4248 or Bob at 418-0043.
