WILTON — The Mime Time Players of Academy Hill, decked out with braids and the mismatched clothing of Dr. Seuss’ Whos, performed their rendition of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” during a dress rehearsal Thursday night.

While Director Betty Shibles read the story, most of the Whos mimed the action. The Grinch, played by Jon Jacques, voiced his lines and soloist Darby Sabin sang as parents watched the performance.

The players performed for students Friday at Cushing and Academy Hill schools.

Shibles thanked Corey Black of Wilton for helping the students with hair and makeup and Sharon Beisaw for making the bright-green Grinch outfit.

The narrator, Amber Luicha, was not able to perform, so Shibles filled in. The character of Cindy Lou was played by Grace McIntosh and Cole Fernald played the part of Mac.

Playing the Whos were Tucker Barber, Marah Black, Nick Campbell, Trevayne Jackson, Lokinah Khan, Zoadia Lamb, Hannah LeClair, Whitney Levesque, Devin Maillet, Hannah Minns, Nolan Rogers, Emma Stinson, Liana Sweeney and Aidan Underwood.
