GREENWOOD — A Mt. Abram employee was arrested Sunday for allegedly hitting another employee with a car.

Christopher J. Beaulieu, 34, of Andover was charged with aggravated assault, operating under the influence and operating after suspension.

Maine State Police Trooper Jason Wing said he received a call from a Mt. Abram employee named Bradford Marsh that another employee was trying to run him over Sunday afternoon. He said that upon arriving he found pieces of foam from inside a car’s bumper, as well as a license plate, strewn across the roadway.

Wing said Marsh told him he was in an ATV when Beaulieu crashed into him in a Chrysler Concord sedan. Marsh said that when the he got out of the ATV to check on damage, Beaulieu jumped on his back and began punching him.

Marsh told Wing that Beaulieu was angry with him because he threatened to tell a supervisor Beaulieu was drinking on the job. Wing said Beaulieu’s blood alcohol content was 0.15, almost twice the legal limit.

Beaulieu was taken to the Oxford County Jail, where his bail was set at $10,000 cash. As of Monday evening he remained in custody.

Wing said both men work in the mountain’s snowmaking operations. Mt. Abram did not return a call for comment Monday evening.
