AUBURN — Mildred A. Genthner, 90, of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29 at The Hospice House.
She was born in Auburn on Oct. 7, 1920, the daughter of Gertrude S. Dow and William G. Clifford.
Millie graduated from the Sabattus High School. She was employed by Miller Industries and later retired from Geiger Brothers of Lewiston.
Millie married Raymond Genthner and raised one daughter, Judith F. Goddard.
She attended the Bowdoin and South Lewiston Baptist Church. Millie was a member of the Lisbon American Legion Auxiliary Post 158 for 63 years and served as President from 1954-1956.
In her early years, Millie enjoyed her camp on Sabattus Lake with her family. In her later years, she enjoyed her grandchildren, bowling, playing pool, and attending parades with her companion, Dan Davis. Millie was known as an avid dancer throughout her life.
She is survived by two brothers, Albert Clifford of Auburn and Harold Clifford of Florida; four grandchildren, Debra Lague of Lisbon Falls, Linwood Goddard III of Calif., Pamela and Frank Hogan of Lisbon Falls, and Raymond Goddard of York; Seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and loving companion, Dan Davis, of Hallowell.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Genthner; daughter, Judith F. Goddard; three brothers, Robert, Howard, and Alfred Clifford; and one sister, Florence Ramsay.
