What was it like, coming to Lewiston, and what’s been the best part about the move?

It’s been a year since i got trraded, so I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again. What I like the most about being here is the atmosphere, and being able to come to the rink every day and enjoying it. That’s what it’s all about. The boys, being around everyone in the organization, and just being able to come to the rink every day with a smile on my face.

What is it like for you to be the team’s captain?

It’s a big honor. There are a lot of responsibilities, things you need to take care of. It’s an honor, a pleasure and hopefully everything I’ve done so far has been up to par and up to expectations.

What is your ultimate goal in hockey?

I want to play as long as I can, as hard as I can and at the highest level I can.

What’s the best part about this group of players, on the ice?

I think it’s the chemistry. Every shift, someone comes back to the bench and someone is always saying, “Good job doing this, good job doing that.” We have fun with everything we do, whether it’s getting hit, hitting someone, making a play or blocking a shot. Everyone is always supporting each other. When you’re part of a winning team that’s always supporting each other, you always have a smile on your face. There’s no other feeling that can compare to it.

What is the goal for the rest of the year, one for yourself, or for the team, or both?

We want to continue to climb in the standings. We’re in a little points race with Gatineau right now. We want to catch Quebec and Montreal, and particularly Quebec in our division. We just have to keep winning. We only have (27) games left now, it’s really winding down now, so hopefully, with a little more time on our hands, we’ll be a little bit more rested. There rest of it, we want to make it to the playoffs as the highest seed possible, win the President’s Cup and win the Memorial Cup.
