LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Roger R. Pruneau was celebrated by the Rev. Nathan March Monday at Holy Cross Church of the Prince of Peace Parish following prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Roger’s granddaughters, Ali Lamb and Lauren Cyr. Also in attendance during the service, on behalf of the City of Lewiston was Mayor Laurent Gilbert, and the former City Administrator Lucien Gosselin. Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Father March recited committal prayers after which the U.S. Army Honor Detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Roger’s son, Dennis Pruneau in recognition of his father’s service to his country during World War II. Pallbearers were Evan Cyr, Jordan Lamb, Ethan Lamb, Stephen MacDougall, Rusty Cyr and Bruce Lamb.
