AUBURN — Patricia Helen (Wallace) Lane, 79, of Auburn, died peacefully, surrounded by family after a long, hard fought battle with heart disease, Tuesday, Jan. 4.

She was born in Portland, May 22, 1940, to Owen L. and Leora H. (Robbins) Wallace. She graduated from Windham High School, Class of 1958.

She moved to Auburn in 1971, and over the next 25 years worked for Davis Farms, Androscoggin Soil and Water Conservation and for Gary Adams, CPA, until her illness prevented her from working.

She was a member of Marston’s Corner Baptist Church in Auburn. Her hobbies included, genealogy; she traced her family ancestry back more than 700 years to Scotland, reading, crocheting, ceramics, gardening and visiting the ocean.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Richard Lane of Auburn; daughters, Edie and Francis Dostie of Minot, Angel and Peter Bosworth of Blaine and Becky and Rick Michaud of Sumner; son, Charles Jr. and Jayme Lane, of Minot; grandson, Carl and Emily Mottram of Auburn; granddaughters, Sara and Shawn Latulippe of Hartford and Jenny and Rudy Kyllonen of Mechanic Falls; great-grandchildren, Allison and Madison Latulippe and Sadie and Rudy Kyllonen; and brother, Linwood and Mary Lou Wallace of Northfield, Mass.

She was predeceased by her parents formerly of Northfield, Mass.; and a sister, Theo Lowell formerly of Windham.

She will be greatly missed by her three cats, Tundra, Lucky and Velvet.
