AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will offer homework help and studying tips for students taking their midterm exams beginning Thursday, Jan. 13.
Staffers will provide help studying, doing research, working on resumes and preparing for the SATs. Most of the help will be geared toward students in grades seven through 12.
The library will have a staffer to discuss writing poetry and stories and getting published.
It’s part of the library’s effort to increase support for teens and promote youth employment, Teen Librarian Sally Holt said.
“What is cool about this is that we’re going beyond studying, and helping students prepare their college applications and resumes,” she said.
Staff will also give away prizes, including Flash Drives, Sharpies, Library Cafe Coupons, books and download cards for iTunes.
Midterm study hours are: 2:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 13; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 15; 2:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 18; 2:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 19; and 2:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 20
