A soup and chowder fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, 231Rayville Road. Pat and Al Haggerty, pictured above, who are organizing the fest, said it is a community event and everyone is invited. Anyone needing more information may call 627-6950. All the food served will be homemade. In addition to corn chowder, chicken stew, beef stew and split pea soup, there will be a choice of corn bread, dumplings, hot biscuits and desserts Donations received will be added to the church’s community heating oil fund.
