RUMFORD — On Tuesday, Feb. 8, the Rumford Association for the Advancement of the Performing Arts will hold auditions for two one-act plays to be presented in April at Mountain Valley Middle School.
The dinner theater production will be staged on Friday and Saturday, April 29-30.
“Murder at the Grey’s Hound Mansion” has roles for five women and three men, or four women and four men, the secretary being a role for either gender. The action takes place in a mansion while the characters are awaiting the reading of a will. Besides the secretary, roles include an eccentric cousin, an arthritic housekeeper, two dog trainers, a not-too-bright eccentric socialite, a personal trainer and a detective.
“The Revenge of the Red Feather Ladies” has roles for seven women with various unusual personalities.
Copies of the plays may be read on-site at the Rumford Library.
Auditions will begin at 7 p.m. in the lecture hall at the school. For more information, call Judith Kuhn at 364-7242.
