RUMFORD — Patrol officers responded to 73 complaints between midnight Jan. 31 and noon Feb. 6. These do not include basic traffic stops.
Arrests/summonses
Feb. 1, 2:11 p.m. — Marvin Corpening, 46, of Kings Mountain, N.C., was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Prospect Avenue on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Corpening was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.
Feb. 2, 10:23 a.m. — Reid Ross, 53, of Norway was charged by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld with telephone harassment on Congress Street after his arrest by Norway Police Department on a bail violation. Ross was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.
Feb. 3, 12:52 p.m. — John Hansen, 24, of Mexico was arrested by acting Cpl. Donald Miller on Waldo Street on a charge of domestic assault. Hansen posted $800 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.
Feb. 4, 8:50 p.m. — Katie Gurney, 25, of Mexico was summoned by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Spruce Street on a charge of attaching false plates. Gurney is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on May 3.
Theft
Jan. 31, 9:39 a.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld investigated the theft of a dining room hutch from a Spruce Street apartment. Value of loss: $200.
Feb. 1, 8:50 a.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld investigated the theft of gasoline from a Bridge Street business. The suspect was located and returned to pay for the $20 in gas.
Feb. 3, 1:33 p.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld investigated the theft of an automated external defibrillator from a Glover Road business. Value of loss: $800.
Wanted
Jay Walsh, 32, of Rumford is wanted on a warrant from Oxford County Superior Court in Paris for unpaid fines and fees for theft and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and a warrant from Sanford Police Department for writing a bad check. The warrants are dated Oct. 29, 2010 and Jan. 4, 2011.
