NORWAY — BRG Sports has announced it will broadcast 10 Oxford Hills Boys & Girls Varsity Basketball games on 92.7 WOXO beginning Tuesday February 9. BRG sports will also provide a live video stream of the games on WOXO.com.
“When I purchased WIGY and WOXO radio, one of my top priorities was to relaunch broadcasts of local high school sporting events,’’ said Stan Bennett, Owner of the Bennett Radio Group and BRG Sports. ‘’Local sports have always been an integral part of our communities. We need this now more than ever.’’
‘’Even though the Maine Principals’ Association recently allowed schools in ‘yellow counties’ to begin practicing, and eventually, participate in regular season games, state CDC guidelines still limits the number of people allowed in a building, which makes it difficult for everyone who wants to attend —especially family members.’’
‘We are honored to be bringing these games, both online and over-the-air, to those who cannot attend and—at the same time—support these outstanding student-athletes who have worked incredibly hard while making tremendous sacrifices.’’
BRG Sports will begin its video streaming schedule on Tuesday February 9 with a live stream of the Oxford Hills Girls Basketball game against Fryeburg Academy on WOXO.com/sports
