LEWISTON — Frank Serino Jr., 71, of Weld, known by most as Red or Clint, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center with his wife and family by his side.
Frank was born in Clifton, N.J., Sept. 10, 1939, the son of Frank Sr. and Sarah (Burton) Serino. When Frank was 9 years old, his family moved to Lake Hopatcong, N.J.
He worked for New Jersey Power and Light as a class 1 mechanic for 25 years. After retiring, he and his wife Kay moved to Weld in February 1986. Frank enjoyed small town living, taking on positions in the town of Weld, including road commissioner for several years and then working side-by-side with his buddy, Ron up until this past summer. Frank also worked with Heatly Line Construction for several years . He loved his town and the people in it and could be seen anywhere just chatting with most.
Frank enjoyed his family and wished they all could be around all the time. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, feeding his deer, going for long rides with Kay and his camp. He looked forward to spending time with his sons, grandchildren, his pals, Chinnook and Brooke and his hunting buddy, Cal. He looked forward to his time in the summer, which he would spend at Big Eddie with his wife, then in October to attend Super Dirt Week in Syracuse, N.Y., and November to spend time at camp with his buddies and his sons, even if he did not go out.
Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kay; their two sons, Frank Serino and his wife, Mary, of Milford, Pa., and Randy Serino and his wife, Diane, of Weld; grandchildren, Angela and Brett Serino, Anthony Callegari, all of Pennsylvania, Meagan Gaboury and her husband, Lewis, of Farmington and Angela Chapman and her husband, Fred, of Farmington; great-grandchildren, Natalia, Kayla, Brittany, Alexsis, Kasey and Jordan; and his best pals, Holly and Brooke.
Frank was predeceased by his parents; and his sister, Sandy.
