LIVERMORE FALLS — New arrivals at Treat Memorial Library include “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig, the young adult fantasy “The Gilded Ones” by Namina Forna, and the picture book “Ambitious Girl” by Meena Harris.

The library will raise funds for its garden and book fund with a 50/50 raffle. Tickets cost $5 for 10 tickets and $1 per individual ticket. To purchase tickets, call the library at 207-897-3631. The winner will be announced at the end of April.
The library’s Armchair Traveler Game is held at 1 p.m. every Tuesday on Facebook. The staff will provide the date and place.
Online Story Time begins at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday. In April, the staff is looking forward to warmer days and will include some suggestions for outdoor activities that people can do together.
Every Thursday at 4 p.m. in April, the staff will explore Books: Past and Present. They will talk about some of their favorite childhood books and pick a modern book that gives the same feeling.
The library’s new Book Club series, Books About Books, starts this month. This series will be all about books, book lovers, libraries, and bookstores. The series will kick off with “The Bookish Life of Nina Hill” by Abbi Waxman and the discussion will take place at 3 p.m. April 8 over Zoom. Contact staff for a copy of the book up for discussion, and the Zoom link.
The library will be closed on Tuesday, April 20, in observance of Patriot’s Day.
In order to do to its part in slowing the community spread of COVID-19, Treat Memorial Library is providing curbside service only at this time. Curbside service for pick-up of library materials will be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 56 Main St. People can log into their account and reserve available items, and a staff member will call to make an appointment for pick up.
