The Sun Journal article “Hazards of the job” (Feb. 20) was good, but only for public relations. It did not give even a hint of credit to the front-line hospital security staff who stand between the aggressive manic or drugged-up patient and medical staff.

Those men and women take the first hits, scratches and punches, many times daily, to keep the medical staff safe.

I found the article unjust and biased toward licensed medical personnel. The story made it sound like they are only ones who do a difficult job on a daily basis for the greater good.

Behind every good doctor or nurse is an even better security staff member watching their back so they can do their job to the fullest.

Credit where credit is due, please.
