Supper at station
PARIS — A public supper will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Paris Fire Station, Western Avenue, sponsored by the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary. The cost for adults is $8; ages 4 to 12, $4; and ages 3 and under, free.
Socrates Cafe
WATERFORD — A Socrates Café gathering will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 7, at the Waterford Library. The group offers a forum to discuss current topics and ideas where divergent views are welcome.
The topic for the March meeting is “The Role of History in Forming Culture.” Ed Somers will be the moderator.

Seniors to meet
BETHEL — Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet for a potluck dinner at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Methodist Church. Members will bring a salad, hot dish or dessert to share and will also bring items for the auction.
Auxiliary gathers
NORWAY — Stone-Smart American Legion Auxiliary Unit 82 met on Feb. 9 with Joyce Clifford presiding.
Ellen Snow reported she has donated several pairs of shoes and boots to Oxford County Community Services.
Rose Moulton, Kathy Neary and Joyce Clifford will serve on the Nominating Committee to select new officers for next year.
Members voted donations to Opportunity Farm, Special Olympics, Maine Blind Camp and a gift for the post birthday next month.
The meeting was preceded by a chowder and soup supper and assorted desserts. Beulah Ayer was chairwoman with help from Rose Moulton.
Supper, dance
PARIS — The American Legion will hold a meat loaf supper and dance on Saturday, March 5, at the hall on Church Street. Supper will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. for a cost of $7.
The dance will start at 6:30 p.m. for a cost of $5. Jones Dance Band will provide entertainment. The lunch counter will be open.
