LEWISTON — Cecil James Treadwell Jr., 79, of Old Chadbourne Road, Lewiston, passed away early Thursday, Feb. 24, at his home surrounded by his loving wife Claudette and three loving daughters after battling a long illness.
He was born in Auburn, July 28, 1931, a son of the late Cecil J. Treadwell Sr. and Florence (Hesketh) Treadwell. He was educated in local schools, graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1950, and remained a lifelong resident of this community.
Mr. Treadwell worked 25 years for Central Distributors until his retirement. He was a comic book enthusiast and loved listening to his vast vinyl collection. He had a strong passion for classic movies, NASCAR and professional wrestling.
He leaves three daughters, Dorothy Treadwell, Cathy Treadwell and Sherry Angelides and husband, Ralph, all of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Richard Treadwell of Oxford and Alwyn Treadwell and wife, Dorothy, of New Gloucester; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom, in which, his memory will live on forever.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, London Treadwell.
