RUMFORD — Bernice B. Comeau, 84, a resident of Swain Road, Rumford, died Monday, March 7, at the Rumford Hospital.
She was born in Rumford, May 1, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Bernice (Belskis) Bielskis and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1944.
Bernice was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church and a member of the Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, crossword puzzles and loved vacations and holidays with her family.
Bernice was married in Rumford on Sept. 9, 1946, to Albert J. Comeau, who died in October 1988.
Survivors include daughter, Sandra Gamez and husband, Robert, of Rumford; son, Alan Comeau and wife, Deborah, of Buxton; grandchildren, Stacie Buccina of Wiscasset, Leah Gamez and companion, David Every, of Rumford, Craig Comeau and wife, Kathryn, of Augusta and Melissa Comeau of Buxton; a great-granddaughter, Alivia Every of Rumford; sisters, Annie Richard, Stella Philbrick and husband, Rodney, Cecilia Gallant and husband, Ernest, and Shirley Legere and husband, Ernest, all of Rumford, and Rosemarie Boucher and husband, Henry, of New Hampshire; brothers, Joseph Bielskis and wife, Eileen, of Rumford, Frank Bielskis of Portland, Paul Bielskis of Oregon, John Beaudoin and wife, Sally, of Livermore Falls, and David Bielskis of West Paris; and a son-in-law, Robert Buccina of Wiscasset.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband and daughters, Linda Comeau and Susan Buccina.
