FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter presents two friendly felines. Si and Am are two brothers residing over at the satellite adoption center at Aubuchon Hardware.

Aubuchon Hardware offered the use of their store as a way to get more kitties adopted, staff said, and Si and Am can often be seen lounging about at the store. They seem not to be bothered at all by the hustle and bustle of people.

Si and Am love kids, are great with most other cats and are tolerant of dogs, staff said.

The shelter will host “Dogs ‘n Duct Tape” from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 19. Teams/individuals will be supplied with duct tape and a few other materials to create something from their imagination.

Judging will occur at the end of the evening and the top three creations will get prizes. A flip Blackberry will go to the first-prize winner. A bowling gift certificate and a gift certificate for an overnight stay will go to second and third place. Cost will be $6 a person or $20 for a team.
