Auburn Public Library plans to hold its “Let’s Talk Birds” program via Zoom from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 15.

The program will offer tips on identifying birds, provide facts about them, and focus on ways to help them.

Jeri Maurer, president of the Stanton Bird Club, will the presenter. The club has been actively engaged in conservation work and nature education for adults and children for more than 100 years.

Next year, the club will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary, a 450-acre preserve located in Lewiston.

The program is part of of the library’s Adult Summer Reading Program, “Tales with Tails,” where patrons can read, learn and talk about nature and animals. Other programs will include beekeeping, meditating in nature, living and working with border collies, an author talk with Christopher McDougall who wrote “Running with Sherman,” and a virtual visit with Misfits Rehab, a local wildlife rehabilitator.
