BANGOR — A woman has been sentenced in federal court to four years in prison and ordered to pay $1,390 in restitution for a bank robbery in Bangor last July.

U.S. Attorney Thomas Delahanty II says 26-year-old Matisha Pitts of Bangor was also ordered Thursday to undergo three years of supervised release after she gets out of prison.

Court records say Pitts robbed $1,400 from Bangor Savings Bank after walking in and threatening to start shooting unless the teller cooperated. She then took a taxi to an apartment in Bangor and was later arrested. Police did not recover a gun.
