Kaitlyn Smith, 16, a junior from Jay High School, gets help from her sister, Alexii, 18, preparing for her first Regional One Act Play Festival on Friday night at Leavitt Area High School in Turner. Alexii, who graduated last year from Jay and participated in the previous two years, described it as “a lot of fun.” Nine schools are competing Friday night and Saturday, and the public is welcome to watch. Admission for each session is $7 for adults and $4 for students. Jay High School has 14 juniors and seniors performing “The Long View” by Alan Haelhnel.
