SOUTH PARIS — Marcel H. Martin, 80, passed away on Saturday, March 12, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.

He was born in Springvale, July 7, 1930, the son of Arcade and Blanche Plante Martin. He was educated at Sacred Heart School in Jackman, St. Peter’s in Lewiston and graduated from St. Dominic High School in Lewiston, Class of 1948.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed by the A & P Tea Co. Supermarket for more than 32 years as a meat cutter manager and 10 years at Food Town in Auburn, before retiring. He was formerly married to Rita J. St. Pierre.

He is survived by four children, Lynn of Bedford, Texas, David of Lewiston, Dennis of Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Donna Jane of Mechanic Falls; and six nieces and nephews.
