It has been my great honor to represent Auburn in Augusta. I know the importance of having strong representation in Augusta speaking up for the citizens of Auburn. And I know Stefanie Mahr Damien would be a strong representative for Auburn. As a state representative I understand the commitment required to effectively represent the interest […]

Kryston Chapman: Quentin Chapman aims for fiscal responsibility in Augusta
I’m Kryston Chapman, and my husband Quentin is running to represent Auburn in the Maine House. Hopefully, people received his letter or spoke with him at their door. Quentin is a natural-born leader who deserves voters’ support. We love our home and community here in Auburn, but we are concerned about our family, friends and […]
Kevin Murphy: Rep. Libby advocates common sense, lower taxes
When I think about who to vote for, I think about my children and (future) grandchildren, who will live with the consequences of the decisions made today. The Legislature in Augusta has lost control of its spending — do its members think we’re made of money? With a projected budget shortfall of $1 billion in […]
Mary Hughes: Rep. Libby fights for a better tomorrow
I am writing in support of Rep. Laurel Libby’s candidacy for a third term. I have known Laurel for several years and am impressed by her hard work, integrity, and her love for our city and state. My husband and I have raised our three daughters in Auburn, and several of my grandchildren live in […]
Misty Edgecomb: ‘Our future is in capable hands’ with Rep. Lee
As our state representative, Adam Lee has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving our community. His leadership has brought meaningful progress, and his dedication to public service reflects his belief that this is the most important work of his life. Now, as a new father, Adam’s passion for shaping a brighter future is even more […]
Brandon Pelletier: Cormier is the leader Sabattus needs
I am writing to support Joe Cormier for selectman in Sabattus. Joe has been a dedicated community member for years — serving as a firefighter, police officer, school resource officer and recreation director in the course of his career. His deep commitment to public service and family values makes him an ideal candidate. Joe has […]
Rich Lowry: Harris has no credibility on immigration
That Kamala Harris is so tinny and unpersuasive on the border is, in large part, not a product of poor communications skills; rather it is part and parcel of a strategic choice to try to muddy the waters instead of admitting how and why the administration created an utterly avoidable debacle.
Cayden Childs: Rep. Libby opposes tax hikes on Maine workers
I am a young Mainer, a college graduate working here in my home state. My job pays about average for what I studied in school. Surprisingly, my Maine state taxes are now $1,000 per month. That would be extreme even for my parents, but I am only 21 years old. It is honestly very tough […]
Steve Bien: JD Vance for prime minister
Lately, former President Donald Trump has been all over the place on issues depending on his audience. On reproductive health, taxation, health care and Project 2025, Mr. Trump has been hard to pin down. Not so his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, who has been clear from day one that Project 2025 is the blueprint […]
