Mark Moore, of Rumford, came to Auburn to visit and was impressed by the Auburn Art Wall on Main Street. The wall is a result of a 2011 competiton that displays a series of nine murals.
One of the newest pieces of public art in Auburn is "Bud Form" created by Maine sculptor Hugh Lassen. The abstract sculpture at the entrance of the Longley Memorial Bridge overlooks the Androscoggin River and will be officially dedicated soon.
One of the newest and largest art installments around Lewiston-Auburn is this giant wildlife mural created by Portland artist Jared Goulette on a wall in a parking lot off Main Street between Lisbon and Park streets in Lewiston. The Portland-based artist worked with the Lewiston Downtown Association to get the project approved.
The bronze Union Soldier Statue in Kennedy Park was created by famous Maine sculptor Franklin Simmons, a native of Sabattus. It honors lives lost in the Civil War. There are plaques on the statue listing the names of Maine soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the Union.
Brazilian artist Arlin Graff painted "Zebra" in 2018 on the side of Centerville Parking Garage at the corner of Canal and Pine streets in Lewiston. It represents the coming together of the growing immigrant community with a community of mostly white natives, according to Graff.

Thomas Berger's piece titled "The Fish" in Anniversary Park in Auburn is another recent addition that is part of the New Auburn Village Center Plan.
The Shoe Fountain at Festival Plaza in Auburn was developed by Ross Miller as an homage to the history of the Lewiston-Auburn area, including Auburn's history as a shoemaking center, and as a symbol of the area's bright future. In the warmer months, water cascades down and out of several shoes in the fountain.
Created in 2015 and erected on Lisbon Street, Charlie Hewitt's sculpture "Lewiston Rattle" was moved to the Bates Mill Complex on 2017.
The 2020 Bear sculpture by artist Andy Rosen is located outside the Bates Mill Complex near DaVinci's restaurant on Mill Street in Lewiston.
Situate Sculpture, created by Aaron Stephan in 2008, is located at Farwell School in Lewiston.
