Hadley Prewitt and Quinn Maguire turn in the fastest individual runs, while Falmouth takes the lead in the team competitions for both boys (ahead of Edward Little) and girls in the two-day Alpine state championships at Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton.
Alpine skiing: Fort Kent’s Kaden Theriault, Yarmouth’s Brooke Boone capture Class B slalom state titles
Mountain Valley’s Jaden Boulanger and Rangeley’s Bree Quimby finish second and third, respectively, in the girls competition. On the boys side, Theriault, a former Carrabassett Valley Academy skier, overtakes Cape Elizabeth’s Logan Schwartz on his second run for top honors.

The girls team competition is decided by one point — the Black Bears’ depth overcoming the Red Riots’ sister duo. The Orono boys win thanks to four finishers in the top seven.
