The $27.28 million budget for RSU 5 was approved Tuesday by a vote of 1,264 to 908, even though two of the three district towns rejected it. Votes for the 2014-15 spending plan were: Freeport, 946-366; Durham, 223-371; and Pownal 95-171. — Connie Footman
