Watch cheerleaders discuss fun, challenges of Lobster Bowl prep

The state’s top high school cheerleaders are in Auburn this week preparing new routine with new friends for Saturday’s game.

The list of the area’s top players includes three each from Mt. Blue and Oxford Hills.

Lewiston, Mt. Blue and Gray-New Gloucester all have three players among the region’s best.

Four seniors, three juniors and one sophomore make up the all-area team.

Four players competed in the state singles tournament.

Varsity Maine All-Staters Josia Katroli and Ryker Paradis among five Lewiston athletes on all-area squad.

The Eagles finish the season as the state’s after winning Class A championship.

Kennedy Kimball strikes out 11 while allowing two hits, and the Eagles hit early and often to earn another championship.

Windham will try to win the Class A title for the second time in three season when it takes on Edward Little.

Biddeford takes over top spot, while two state finalist move from outside the polls into the top five.
