BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Art Guild announced it is accepting applications for its annual $1,000 scholarship.

The award will be given to a graduating senior planning to study visual arts at an accredited university, college or art institute.

Applications are due by May 1.

Bridgton Art Guild members raise money for scholarships by donating art that is raffled at artist receptions at Gallery 302.

Eligible students must live in western Maine and attend one of the following: Lake Region High School, Fryeburg Academy, Windham, Bonny Eagle, Oxford Hills Comprehensive or Poland Regional high schools. Home-schooled students living in these areas are also eligible.

Applications are available at Gallery 302, 112 Main St. in Bridgton or at gallery302.com. Guidance offices at the schools listed above will also have applications.
