LEWISTON — Earth Camp will be held the week of April 20 at the YWCA of Central Maine, providing campers the opportunity to experience nature and other environmental activities.
Earth Camp is a weeklong celebration of Earth Day. In addition to spending much of their time outside, campers will be treated to a visit by a guest educator from the Chewonki School, along with a few live owls.
Campers are expected to get muddy so a daily change of clothes is required. Swimming is provided every day so swimsuits and a towel are also needed.
The camp will run from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., April 20-24, from the YWCA at 130 East Ave. The cost is $140 and scholarships are available.
For reservations and information: Call the YWCA at 795-4050 or email jrichard@ywcamaine.org.
