NEW SHARON — A fire that destroyed an abandoned mobile home on Farmington Falls Road on Nov. 25 was started by a Montana man living there without permission, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said.
Bryan G. Meyers, 29, had been living in the home next to Tuttle’s Auto without permission all summer, according Nichols’ weekly report. Meyers left a fire going in the trailer while he was at a local restaurant and it spread, the sheriff said.
Cpl. Matthew Brann issued Meyers a summons on a charge of criminal trespass.
