OTISFIELD — An early morning fire destroyed a home and vehicles in Otisfield on Saturday, but no one was injured.

The Otisfield Fire Department was called around 2:20 a.m. Valentine’s Day to a home on Bolsters Mills Road, according to Fire Chief Kyle Jordan.

“When we got there, it was a fully involved structure fire,” he said. “Two people who lived there were able to get out and went to a neighbor’s.”

No livestock or pets were at the residence, according to Jordan.

Firefighters from Oxford, Norway, South Paris, Waterford, Casco Bridgeton, Poland and Raymond were called in for assistance, according to the fire chief.

“The temperature was between a 10 and 15 below zero, so we had the kind water issues you’d expect in that kind of weather,” he said.

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating to determine the cause of the fire, Jordan said.

The fire chief said the people who were living in the home, whom he declined to identify, are staying with relatives.
