RUMFORD — They appear, vanish, read your thoughts, escape, and perform feats unimagined. The first group of  students at 49 Franklin’s School of Magic and Showmanship had such fun with their first show, the group is staging an encore of the Big Show,  at 7 p.m., Friday May 22, in the Mystic Theater at 49 Franklin. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.Tickets are $8.

“We had such a fun time we want to do it all over again, plus we know there were some people that didn’t get tickets at the door because we were sold out and others heard about it and want to attend,” instructor Scott Grassette said.

The show will feature Adam Benson who will read minds; Anthony MacDonald  who will make people laugh with a new routine he’s learned. Bradley Sirois will amuse with his rope routine. Brielle Flynn will perform a coin to impossible location trick. Brooke Brown will have the audience eating out of the palm of her hand when she levitates in midair. Caleb Frisbie will amaze with a bowl of fruit and a handkerchief. Jade Kubic is ready to impress with her amazing math skills. Drew Quirion has been working on an impressive piece and Lucas Malley will borrow a bill and do something unexpected. Travis Ryerson will challenge two adults to tie him up with 100 feet of rope. And if he doesn’t escape in less time than it takes to tie him up, he will suffer public humility in front of family and friends; but if he succeeds he will surely receive a huge round of applause.

Theater snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, cash only. General seating only, and tickets  are available downtown Rumford at All That Jazz and Bartash’s or online at  www.49franklin.com and your name will be on the list at the door. Please enter at the upper back parking lot.
