WILTON — A local woman was injured Friday afternoon on Burgess Hill when a tractor-trailer struck the back of a vehicle and pushed it into her car.

Donna Sloma, 56, complained of back and chest pain and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by a NorthStar ambulance, Wilton Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said.

Christie Alley, 35, of Fort Fairfield was traveling west on Routes 2 and 4, also known as Burgess Hill, when she stopped to turn left into the Wilton Head Start and Children’s Center at 251 U.S. Route 2, Wilcox said.

A 2007 Western Star tractor-trailer belonging to Punch Trucking of Hartford and driven by James Punch, 47, of Turner, came up behind Alley’s 2012 Ford SUV, rear-ended it and pushed it into Sloma’s 2005 Toyota in the eastbound lane.
