Last April, when the air was still cold, the Eastgate Christian Academy staff participated in a ten-mile torch relay to raise funds for library books and computer technology.
Prior to the run, the ECA staff and students raised pledges totaling more than $2600.00. The event made possible the purchase of a new bookcase, current encyclopedias, videos, magazine subscriptions, and more than 150 books. In addition, numerous people generously donated books. Librarian Pankey Nelson and several volunteers prepared the materials for circulation and reconfigured the library prior to first day of classes this fall.
The new learning tools have enhanced the already excellent education offered at ECA. To learn more about Eastgate, visit us at www.eastgate.org.
